The first Rusek of our clan, Yosef Rusek was born in Valasske Mezinci, Moravia , Czechoslovakia .

Yosef Rusek imigrated to The United States from Germany. Sailing out on August 2, 1901. Entering the port of Galveston, Texas on August 22.

Shortly settling in Dallas, Texas , where he met and married Rosie Esner. They had 3 children Joe, Rosie & Bill. Rosie Esner died from TB

On January 8, 1912 Yosef Rusek married Dora Dreesen.

Dora Dreesen was born in Barderup, Germany on Febuary 27, 1883. Dora immigrated from Germany with her son Fred to Ellis Island on May 12,1911. They where heald in quarintine until May 28. Then they went to Galveston, then ending up in Dallas, Texas. Yosef & Dora had 4 Children together Helen, Marianne Louise born November 29, 1915, Carl Gustav born November 19,1917, Matilda & Dorothy

Yosef Rusek was naturalized on March 9, 1929

Yosef Rusek died on January 8, 1943.
